Arkansas Joins NCIDQ as 21st Member Board
In July, NCIDQ welcomed the Arkansas State Board of
Interior Design as its 21st member board. The Arkansas
Board protects the title of "Registered Interior
Designer." Interior designers who wish to use this
title must meet the Board's eligibility criteria,
including
passage of the NCIDQ Examination. Registered
Interior Designers have the right to seal and submit
documents for public record. They must complete
continuing education and agree to a code of ethics.
"NCIDQ membership represents a new level of
professionalism for the Board," says Claudia C.
Shannon, an Arkansas Registered Interior Designer
and the delegate to NCIDQ from the Arkansas Board.
"We are so pleased to join our fellow regulatory
boards in the collective effort to raise standards
for the interior design profession and increase
public awareness of the profession."
For more information on Arkansas registration, call
the Arkansas Board office at (870) 226-6875.

Practicum Exam Jurors Needed!
We are recruiting active Certificate holders in
these seven metropolitan areas to serve as Exam Jurors
beginning this fall.
- Chicago
- Dallas
- Fort Lauderdale
- Nashville
- Phoenix
- San Diego
- Toronto
This volunteer opportunity is open ONLY to active
Certificate holders! The commitment is small,
just four days a year. And the rewards are
huge: you get 10 h/s/w CE credits per jury
session (up to 20 hours a year), you'll network with
local designers, and it's a resume booster. Plus,
you get free Certificate Renewal each year you
participate (a $40 value).
If you live in one of these areas, you should have
received an information package this summer. If you
didn't get around to responding or misplaced the
application form, please contact us right away. If
you didn't get a package, let us know and we'll send
you more information.
We still need at least 10 additional jurors in EACH
area, so please respond right away!
