Fact or Fiction

Do I Need CE to Renew
My NCIDQ Certificate?

True or False? NCIDQ requires all Active Certificate Holders to complete continuing education credits to renew their NCIDQ Certificate.

False! Currently, you do NOT need to earn continuing education credits to renew your NCIDQ Certificate. However, many of you are required by your state or provincial regulatory agency to complete CE credits during each licensure period (usually one or two years). IIDA also requires CE credits for renewal of your professional membership.

NCIDQ's role in the process is to maintain a database of your participation in CE courses--our CE Registry. Each time you send in an NCIDQ CE Participant Form, we add the course to your personal CE record. As an Active Certificate Holder, you get free access to your CE record at any time through our Web site. You can instantly print your transcript and include it with your license/membership renewal to document your CE credits. Log into NCIDQ to see your transcript.

Do you need to submit a recent course you took to our CE Registry? The CE Participant Form is always available on our Web site in the Forms section.

Structures Monograph Cover

Is your license renewal deadline coming up soon? Earn the credits you need with NCIDQ's CE monograph series!

Each monograph is a short book that you can read on your own schedule--at home, at work, even in the air! When you complete the accompanying open- book quiz and return it to NCIDQ, you get 6 hours of continuing education credit in health, safety and welfare. All titles are approved by IDCEC, the national organization that oversees the approval of CE courses.

Our latest monograph, Structures in Interior Design, was written by Kimberly A. Marks, a recognized expert who has delivered building code seminars to interior designers across the country. Marks gives you a practical overview of structural systems and shows you how they matter for interior designers.

Don't forget: as an Active Certificate holder, you save 10% on all monographs!

Our customers say...

I love being able to complete NCIDQ monographs on my own time! I have very little time to attend an all-day lecture program, so the monographs fit my needs perfectly. Sarah McNabb, Louisville, KY

NCIDQ's CE monographs are an excellent resource for anyone involved in the design profession. I find that the topics are pertinent, full of useful information and become a valuable addition to my library. Plus, I like earning the CE credits on my own schedule! Philip Adams, Wilmington, DE
