What is NCIDQ's CE Registry?

NCIDQ's Continuing Education Registry (formerly known as CE Tracking) is a database that tracks individual participation in approved CE courses. Individuals can access their CE course history anytime through the Registry. They can also print transcripts to include with renewal applications to regulatory agencies and professional associations.

I recently took a CE course. I want to add it to my transcript in the CE Registry. How do I do this?

Submit a CE Registry Participant Form for each course you want to add to your transcript. Go to www.ncidq.org/forms to download a current form.

Before you submit the form, find out if the course has been approved by a member of the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC), and if so, what the course number is. The course sponsor or instructor should have this information.

How do I know if a CE course is IDCEC-approved?

The course sponsor or instructor should have this information. The Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC) is a group of organizations that regulate and promote CE for interior designers. IDCEC's members are ASID, IIDA, IDC and IDEC. If any of these four organizations approved the course, you can add it to your NCIDQ CE record.

If the course has not been approved by any of these four organizations, we cannot add it to your CE record. AIA approval is not accepted; the course must also be approved by an IDCEC member organization.

What is the fee to submit my Participant Form?

The fee to add a course to your transcript is $12 PER course. Read the payment instructions on the Participant Form before sending payment. NCIDQ accepts checks and credit card payments. Do not send cash.

Is participation in NCIDQ's CE Registry required?

No. The CE Registry is an optional service that many interior designers find useful as a way to consolidate all their CE information in one place. CE Registry transcripts are accepted by regulatory boards and professional associations as evidence that all listed courses have been completed.

Do I need to earn continuing education credits to renew my NCIDQ Certificate?

Currently, you do NOT need to earn CE credits to renew your NCIDQ Certificate. However, you may be required by your state or provincial regulatory agency to complete CE during each licensure period. IIDA also requires CE for renewal of professional-level membership.
