Online Registration and Deferral Instructions
Approved candidate,
Upon application approval, you will be notified of the open registration date. Once you have read the current Examination Registration Guide, you may then register for the exam. If you choose not to register for the exam, you will need to defer registering for the exam by submitting an online deferral. If you are registering for at least one exam section, you do not need to complete a deferral request. You must either register for the exam or defer registering until the next exam period. The deferral request form is also available online at MyNCIDQ. When you pay the deferral fee, you will remain an active candidate eligible to register for the exam in the next period.
To register or defer, simply follow the steps below, and you are on your way toward becoming an NCIDQ Certificate holder and joining more than 20,000 professional interior designers who have achieved this milestone.
Here's how:
- Go to www.ncidq.org
and click on
MyNCIDQ
located on the right-hand
side of the screen.
- Log in using your MyNCIDQ username.
- If you do not know your username or password,
select "Forgot your Username or Password?" to
retrieve it. If you do not have a valid e-mail address in our system, or have difficulty retrieving your login information, please contact customer support at (202) 721-0220.
- If you've ever done business of any kind with NCIDQ, you have a MyNCIDQ account. Do not register as a first-time
user. Contact us at info@ncidq.org
if you
have trouble logging in.
- Once you have logged in
successfully, verify your personal
information by reviewing your information and clicking the verification button at the bottom of the personal information page.
- To begin the registration process, select the Exam Application and
Registration link on the left-hand side of
the screen (under "Certifications").
- Select Registration Statement of
Responsibility. You will need to complete
this before you can register.
- Please note there is no fee for this
form. The submit button incorrectly states
"Proceed to Checkout".
- Once you complete and accept the
Statement of Responsibility, re-click the
"Exam Application and Registration" link.
- Select either Registration Form or
Deferral Request (you must choose only one option). Once you have
completed the form, click on "Proceed To
Checkout" to move to the payment screen.
- Pay the registration/deferral fee by
credit card (you can also mail in a check).
NCIDQ accepts Visa, MasterCard, American
Express and Discover.
- Click "Pay" ONLY ONCE. Allow a
minute or two for the system to process your
payment.
- Once payment has been received and processed, you will receive notification of your approved registration or deferral. Please note: The automatic confirmation page for completing the online registration or deferral process does not denote approval.
